boat not wanting to plane out
Ok so i've had my boat for a few months and some background it's a 1990 kingfisher 179v with a 1990 suzuki 150hp two stroke motor and i've had it out many times and have loved the boat so far. the motor runs like a top i'm really impressed it starts right up it runs great but the one problem i have faced is the boat will not plane out.. I am not familiar with your engine, however power packs are difinately a possibility as you are experiencing low power symptoms. another problem with a plane problem is the boats weight distribution could be bow heavy, so take everything out. glass bass boats your age can develop a hook in the boats plane surface if stored on a trailer incorrectly.. Getting on plane. the smaller the boat, the more effect crew positioning will have on the boat's ability to plane. if everyone sits on one side, the boat will not ride level; if all the crew rides in the aft cockpit, the stern will be depressed, and getting the boat up onto plane may be impossible. passengers should be evenly distributed. here.
boat not wanting to plane out Fortunately, planing, which enables a boat to rise partially out of the water and skim along at higher speeds because of reduced hull friction, can be improved. there are many reasons for a boat. Re: my boat has hard time getting on a plane as was said, you need a fast start--opposite a car and not doing a 'jackrabbit" start. your 150 on a 19 should have no trouble getting up. as was said, start with the motor down, but be careful because sometimes this will make the bow dig in and the boat veer one side or the other (happens worse with.
